Flash Day 1
Rooney Louis (IRL) – M50KG – Preliminary round
It was a tough match. The Georgians are strong fighters, so when I saw the draw, I thought, ‘Ah well, that might be me done.’ But I’d prepared well, and I’m ready for the next one.
Roskowicz Bartlomiej (POL)- M65KG- Preliminary round
It was a good start, but after a match, I always focus on the next one. I want to build myself up from match to match, aiming for just one goal, but I’m not fixating on it, because in every fight I want to show my very best.
Bona Juraj (SVK) – M65KG- Preliminary round
It was a tough match against my brother from Czechia. We’re friends, so it was a good fight. Tomorrow I’ll face another brother from Poland, but once you step into the ring, there are no friendly games — everybody wants to win.
Bilge Kagan Kanli (TUR) – M65KG- Preliminary round
I’m here to represent our heritage. The first matches are always tough because they require more psychological responsibility. We’re very excited about the tournament, and I want to do my best — for myself, for my team, and for Turkey.
Tudoroiu Arun Nicu (ROU) – M65KG – Preliminary round
I had a good fight, but I’m already focused on the next round. Tomorrow will be a tough match against a Georgian opponent, and I hope I can win. Now I’ll rest and get myself disciplined for it

Knezevic Petar Kresimir (CRO) – M75KG – Preliminary round
The first match is always the most important one, it’s an icebreaker in the tournament. I’m happy I won both the first and the last round — that’s what matters. Now I rest and I’ll keep going.
Guliyev Rasul (UKR) – M60KG – Preliminary round
The first match is always the hardest, but I followed everything my coach told me, and I won. I’m aiming to win this tournament, and this is the first step
Prokudins Matvejs (LAT) – M60KG – Preliminary round
The first round was pretty hard, I was a little out of control, but in the second round I scored two knockdowns, took control of the match, and did everything my coach told me. I’m now waiting for my next round, and I’m ready.

Dryden Jack James (ENG) – M60KG – Preliminary round
It was very tough at the beginning. He’s a very physical fighter, and I’m more of a tactical fighter, I had to find a way to win — and luckily, I did.
It is a great honour to represent my country, the first two round I controlled the match, but in the third I little bit lost the focus, but luckily I found it again quickly. Losing my mouthguard happens to me quite often, and this time I didn’t put it in properly. The lesson from today’s match is that I need to pay more attention to distance, because I took a lot of punches from afar. I prefer to fight closer to my opponent, so that’s what I’ll focus on.
Pierzchala Michal (POL) – M80KG – Preliminary round
I already knew my opponent because we had trained together before, and we have a great relationship. I’m very happy with the victory.
Tadah Junior (FRA) – M85KG – Preliminary round
I didn’t know how to prepare for my first match because I didn’t know my opponent, so we had to improvise my style. If I give my all, like I did this time, every fight could end in the first round
Chime Dean Nwokedi (ITA) – M90KG – Preliminary round
I’ll be honest, I underestimated my opponent. I didn’t expect him to be that strong, but I still know I was the better boxer. I have big expectations — I want to be on the podium, I’m aiming for the gold medal, and I’m coming for it
Ciobanu Razvan Adrian (ROU) – M90KG – Preliminary round
I have big expectations in this competition. I had a tough match because my opponent was strong and has competed in many tournaments, but in the end I won — and that’s the most important thing.

I fight against a boxer from Czech Republic. It was a good fight I prepared very hard for the last months with my national team. I expected the victory and I want to win in the end of the tournament.
Ali El Sari (GER) – M55KG – Preliminary round
The first fight always hard, but this one for me feel very good. I went in a bit awkwardly again, but I think that’s partly because of the tension from all of Germany, since all of Germany is watching me right now. I keep going and I want to thank you all of the support .
Abdul-Rahmaan Burton (ENG) – M55KG – Preliminary round
The first round was a bit tricky, but once I got my legs going, things improved. In the second round my back hand was landing well and we got the counts. In the third, I just pushed through and kept punching. After all that worked, and I won. I’m still young in the game, but with my experience, my corner, and the support from home, I believe I can go all the way.
Aaron Cullen (SCO) – M55KG – Preliminary round
I felt the match went well. I started a bit slow, got caught, and lost the first round 3–2, but I brought it back in the second and third. My expectations are high, I want to win the whole tournament, and I’ll do my best to achieve it. This is a new weight class for me, but I feel myself stronger than ever.

Izaya Gaucher (FRA)– M55KG – Preliminary round
To be honest me and my coach had a different plan to this match, but he was using other style of boxing. I surprised, but after the second round I controlled the game. We don’t have any expectations for the tournament, I’m just focused on each fight, every match is like a final for me. I just want to give my best in all of them
Juraj Bona (SVK)- M65KG – Preliminary round
It was a good fight. Between Slovakia and Poland there’s always rivalry, so I’m very happy I got the win. Tomorrow we have a day off, and then we fight for the medals. My dream is to win here , everything I’ve done has been for this moment and for this tournament.

Today we are celebrating the joy of winning our second match. We just got out of the ring, and of course, our heart rates are reflecting that. I want to thank my national team teammates, who support us in every way, my family, and, of course, all the people of Turkey. We are progressing wonderfully and hope to become champions here as a team. Each of us is a valuable and dynamic boxer. Our only wish is for good matches for everyone. We hope the Turkish people will continue to support us, with their prayers, we are here, and we will be champions.
Yalgettekin Nurselen (TUR) – W48KG
Today I also played in the first match. The first match is always the toughest. We came out strong. Hopefully, we will become European champions here. I returned to defend my title from last year. Last year, our Turkish team finished as runners-up in Europe. This year, we will return as European champions.
Martina Vassallo (ITA) – W51KG
I am very happy with the performance in my first match at the European championships. I competed against a great Ukrainian opponent and now my focus is on the upcoming matches.
Szeleczki Lilla (HUN) – W48KG
I represent the Hungarian national team in the 48 kg category here at the Swimming City European Championship. My quarterfinal match just finished, and I came out victorious against a Ukrainian competitor. I was really looking forward to this match and made a strong effort to dominate from the first round, which I did. That early success gave me momentum for the remaining rounds, and ultimately I managed to win.
Natalia Kuczewska (POL) – W51KG
I felt very good. I felt that I was mentally and physically advantaged. I felt that I had a sense of intuition. It brings me joy that I love what I do, and I am happy about it.
