The U23 European Championships will be held in the weight divisions approved by World Boxing—the same structure used in the senior system. This means medals will be awarded in the men’s 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, and +90 kg categories, and in the women’s 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, and +80 kg categories. (At the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, competitions will take place in 7 men’s and 7 women’s weight categories: men’s 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, and +90 kg; women’s 51 kg, 54 kg, 57 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, and +80 kg.)
